Arizona issues

Sherriff Larry Dever asserts that the state’s new immigration law is a reasoned response to the chaos and violence enveloping the border, and not the racially motivated overreach that critics contend it is.

Arizona's immigration law is in the Supreme Court now, it lost it's initial appeal in April 2011, the three-judge 9th Circuit panel said federal officials are likely to prove the law is unconstitutional and succeed in their argument that Congress has given the federal government sole authority to enforce immigration laws. http://globalnation.inquirer.net/news/breakingnews/view/20110510-335706/Arizona-wants-speedy-US-ruling-on-immigration-law

Nearly the same Arizona-style law is on it's way into Georgia's legislature. Will it pass?

  1. I have to correct myself, Georgia's law is already passed and Florida's is on it's way in.
